Highrange Ranch started out as a dream of owning and breeding champion horses with exceptional minds. We
started out with a couple of really great western pleasure mares purchased from leading breeders, Stanley and
Susan Scott of Haylo Farms. We started showing the mares at the futurities and added a mare every year, to our
show string. With several talented mares the logic was to breed them to the top stallions in the industry. Our first
western pleasure foals arrived in 2008.
Originally from Canada, we looked for a place to raise our horses that would be more central to the horse shows.
We purchased a beautiful piece of property in Pilot Point, Texas.
Our 45 acres, covered in oak trees and ponds, is a peaceful place to raise our foals. Currently, we have a 10
stall barn complete with apartment, covered arena, outdoor arena, and an equipment and hay shed. We take pride in
our property and horses keeping them in immaculate condition.
All horses, including the foals are handled everyday. All of our foals are taught from a young age to lead, tie,
clip, load into the trailer, and bathe.
The stallion, Hubba Hubba Huntin owned by Haylo Farms had caught our eye. We watched the young prospect lope his way
to the winner's circle at major futurities and horse shows across the nation. He was just the cross we
imagined would work on all of our mares, because he is such a talented mover and has a quiet disposition.
In 2008, an opportunity to purchase Hubba came along. Hubba has passed on his laid-back attitude, height, and sweepy
movement to his foals. His oldest foals are 3 year olds and beginning to enter the show pen.
At Highrange Ranch, we hope to provide prospects for those who enjoy horses that have laid back attitudes with the
ability to show in a variety of disciplines. We invite you to visit our ranch to choose a perfect show partner and visit our stallion.
We hope you enjoy looking at our website!
